No stream requirement, no minimum percentage for most posts. An arts graduate and an engineering graduate stand at the same starting line.

In recent cycles, Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) has required either a specified minimum in mathematics at Class 12 or statistics as a subject in graduation, and statistical-investigator-type posts have carried their own subject conditions.
