The National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), launched in 2008, is built on eight National Missions. These are dedicated, named programmes targeting specific climate-sensitive sectors such as solar energy, energy efficiency, water, habitat, forestry, agriculture, the Himalayan ecosystem, and climate knowledge.
