The famous "Maitri Setu" has been built over the river

Cross-border connectivity projects between India and Bangladesh, such as bridges and transit corridors, are identified by the specific river they span and the two terminal towns they link, verified through official government press releases and the executing agency's records, not through general state-level geography.

The Maitri Setu (India-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge) was built by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and inaugurated in March 2021. It is constructed over the Feni river, connecting Sabroom in South Tripura (India) to Ramgarh in Bangladesh, and gives India's north-eastern region a shorter road route to the Chittagong port.

• Muhuri: also flows through Tripura along the same international border, but it is a different river from the one the Maitri Setu spans.

• Gomati: likewise a river within Tripura, but it lies away from the Sabroom-Ramgarh crossing where the bridge stands.

• None of these: would hold only if the bridge's actual river were absent from the option list, which it is not.

So the Maitri Setu has been built over the Feni river.
