Reformers should understand that people are influenced not only by writing but also by an authentic life. Lokmanya Tilak and his idea of Swaraj reflected his extraordinary and pure thoughts in his life, and therefore his authority was established. His writings were considered a reflection of his conduct and commitment in life. It was the authenticity of his life that gave strength to his statements and examples. Everyone knows that his life was not perfect; he was not an ideal of morality in public life, nor was his life completely pure. He was a great patriot who struggled for independence.

The importance of a writer is not just to entertain readers, but to guide them so that they can apply something in their own lives. However, a writer who uses his writing for public reform cannot remain a neutral guide. The influence of a great person is visible everywhere; so is that of Lokmanya Tilak.

“I believe that an editor who has something important to say and has readers/followers should not abandon his duties easily, and instead of others, should present the best example through his own life. Inspired by Lokmanya Tilak, we should move beyond merely writing articles and adopt more effective ways of influence.”
