Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: C

The passage describes the Ganga as a river deeply connected to India's cultural and civilizational identity. It is portrayed as a symbol of enduring traditions, memories, and historical continuity. The text explicitly states that the Ganga is a symbol of India's age-long culture and civilization, which reflects its deep-rooted significance in the nation's heritage. The Ganga is not described as a symbol of green growth, minerals, or the future, as these are not mentioned in the passage. Instead, the focus is on cultural and historical continuity, making the option that refers to 'age-long culture and civilization' the most accurate representation of the river's symbolic meaning.
