In which city were the World Boxing Championships, 2025, held?

A world championship is identified by three things together: the federation that sanctions it, the year, and the host — the city or venue — that the federation announces for that edition. The sport's name alone is not enough, because two rival federations can each run their own world championships in the same sport in the same year. So an event-placing question of this kind is settled in two steps: fix the organising federation named in the title, then read off the host it announced for that year.

The federation that governs boxing's Olympic pathway, and that stages the event formally titled the World Boxing Championships, is World Boxing. It held the World Boxing Championships 2025 in Liverpool, England, from 4 to 14 September 2025. Liverpool is therefore the host city that World Boxing announced for the 2025 edition.

The rival International Boxing Association (IBA) also ran world championships in 2025, but neither was in England: its women's edition was held in Niš, Serbia, and its men's edition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
