Correct answer: D

Key rules: Lilac and Balsamic must appear together. Woody and Mimosaic must appear together. Woody and Balsamic cannot appear together. Lemon can be added with any material.

Check whether Mimosaic and Lilac can both be present:

  • If Lilac is present, Balsamic must also be present.

  • If Mimosaic is present, Woody must also be present.

  • That would require both Balsamic and Woody to be present, but Woody and Balsamic cannot appear together, creating a contradiction.

Therefore no valid perfume can include both Mimosaic and Lilac.

For completeness, examples showing the other pairs are possible:

  • Balsamic and Lilac: include {Balsamic, Lilac}.

  • Woody and Lemon: include {Woody, Mimosaic, Lemon}.

  • Mimosaic and Woody: include {Mimosaic, Woody}.

Conclusion: The combination Mimosaic and Lilac is impossible under the given rules.
