'National Milk Day' is celebrated every year on -

Concept — India's calendar of national observances fixes many days permanently on the birth anniversary of the person who transformed that sector. Because the date honours an individual, it stays the same every year and does not shift with the calendar.

Application — National Milk Day honours Dr. Verghese Kurien, the architect of Operation Flood and the man called the Father of the White Revolution. He was born on 26 November 1921 at Kozhikode in Kerala. The Indian Dairy Association and the dairy cooperatives first observed the day on his 93rd birth anniversary in 2014, and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying has marked it every 26 November since.
