Correct answer: D

Correct answer: Khizr Khan.

Khizr Khan was the founder of the Sayyid Dynasty, the fourth dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate. He had served as the governor of Multan under the Tughlaqs. After the chaos that followed Timur's invasion of 1398 and the collapse of the Tughlaq dynasty, Khizr Khan captured Delhi on 28 May 1414 and established the Sayyid Dynasty.

Out of fear of Timur, Khizr Khan did not assume the royal title of Sultan; instead he ruled with the titles Rayat-i-Ala and Masnad-i-Ali. The Sayyid Dynasty ruled from 1414 to 1451 and was followed by the Lodi Dynasty.
