Sawant Singh (1699–1764) was the ruler of Kishangarh State in Rajasthan. He was a great patron of art, literature, and music and is famously known by his pen name "Nagari Das".
During his reign, the Kishangarh School of Painting reached its golden age. The famous "Bani Thani" painting, often called the Mona Lisa of India, is associated with Sawant Singh and the Kishangarh painting tradition.
