When did India become party to Convention on Biodiversity (CBD)?

India became a party to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in 1994. Specifically, India ratified the convention on February 16th, 1994. While the convention was opened for signature in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, formal ratification is required for a country to officially become a party.
