Who is known as “Banasur ka Shaheed” in Rajasthan?

Major Shaitan Singh is popularly known in Rajasthan as “Banasur ka Shaheed” (often written as “Banasar/Banasur ka Shaheed”) because he belonged to Banasar village in Rajasthan.

He became a national hero for his exceptional bravery in the Battle of Rezang La, where he led Indian troops against overwhelming odds and was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
