What is ‘Lamzhena’ word prevalent in tribal society?

‘Lamzhena’ (also spelt Lamsena/Lamzana) is a form of marriage prevalent among the tribal communities of Madhya Pradesh, such as the Gond, Korku, Baiga and Bhariya tribes. In this ‘service marriage’ the prospective groom lives and works in the household of the girl’s family for a fixed period before the marriage is finalised. Hence it is a type of marriage, not a dance, a portrait or a festival.
