Rani Avantibai Lodhi (1831-1858) was the queen-regent of Ramgarh, a small princely estate near Mandla in present-day Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. After the British placed Ramgarh under a Court of Wards in 1851, she resisted and, during the Revolt of 1857, raised an army of about 4,000 and defeated the British near Mandla. Hence the correct association is with Ramgarh.
