Who was the founder of the Tomar dynasty?

The Tomar (Tomara) dynasty of Gwalior was founded by Veersingh Dev (Virasimha-deva), who captured the Gwalior fort and established Tomar rule around 1394 CE. The Tomaras, originally feudatories of the Delhi Sultanate, gained control of Gwalior in the 1390s and later became independent. Their best-known ruler was Man Singh Tomar (1486-1516), who built the famous Man Mandir palace in the Gwalior fort.
