Which is the most found type of forest in Madhya Pradesh?

The most widely found (dominant) forest type in Madhya Pradesh is the Tropical Dry Deciduous forest. It covers the largest share of the state's forest area (about 45%, nearly 35,000 sq km), spread across the central Vindhya and Malwa plateau regions. These forests are characterised by teak (Tectona grandis) and tendu, with trees shedding their leaves in the dry season. By comparison, tropical moist deciduous forests (sal-dominated, eastern Satpura-Maikal belt) cover a smaller area, and tropical thorn forests cover only a small fraction in the drier western tracts.
