Where is the Central AGMARK Laboratory situated?

AGMARK is the quality-certification mark for agricultural produce in India — the name is formed by joining 'Ag' (for agriculture) to 'mark' (the certification mark it carries). It is issued under the Agricultural Produce (Grading and Marking) Act, 1937, administered by the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. To enforce these quality standards, the DMI runs a laboratory network: one apex Central AGMARK Laboratory that sets reference standards and settles disputed test results, backed by several Regional AGMARK Laboratories spread across different states.

This apex facility, the Central AGMARK Laboratory, is headquartered in Nagpur, Maharashtra. It functions as the DMI's referee laboratory, the final authority for resolving disagreements over grading results reported by the regional laboratories.
