What does the “Ctrl + Enter” shortcut do in Word ?

In Microsoft Word, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Enter is used to immediately insert a Page Break at the cursor's current position.

When you insert a page break, it forces the text that follows the cursor to automatically move to the top of the next page, regardless of how much space is left on the current page. This is a crucial formatting practice because it keeps your document structured. If you add or delete text on the previous page later on, the text after the page break will still start neatly at the top of the next page, preventing alignment issues.
