Let the distance traveled by the ship after 320 km to meet the plane be 'd'.
Speed of the ship be 'x' and speed of the plane be '9x'.
Time taken by plane to travel (320+d) distance = time taken by ship for 'd' distance.
=> (320+d)/9x=d/x => 8d=320 or d=40.
So the distance traveled, when they meet from starting point = 320+d = 360 kms.
