Dear Sir,

I am currently serving as a Post Graduate Teacher (Computer Science 11-12) In Bihar since November 2023. My posting location is approximately 10 kilometers from my residence. However, the salary offered as BPSC Post Graduate Teacher (Computer Science) is significantly lower than that of an Elementary and Medium School Teacher (EMRS) in the EMRS system. The basic salary for a BPSC Post Graduate Teacher (Computer Science) is 32,000 for classes 11 and 12, whereas the basic salary for an EMRS Elementary and Medium School Teacher is 44,900 . This substantial difference in salaries raises the question of whether it would be worthwhile to join the EMRS system after resigning from the BPSC Post Graduate Teacher (Computer Science) position. Please Suggest.

@sksatish400 Dear learner, In my opinion, you should not make the decision based only on salary difference. Since your current BPSC PGT posting is very close to your home, it provides personal convenience and stability. At the same time, EMRS offers a better basic salary and additional benefits. Before taking any final decision, you should compare factors like: What is the promotion opportunities, how Work environment and transfer policy, what is the future salary growth and allownces also the crucial point Distance from family and lifestyle balance. If long-term financial growth and benefits are your priority, EMRS may be a better option. However, if stability, nearby posting, and comfort are more important, continuing in BPSC PGT can also be a good choice. You should take the decision after considering both professional growth and personal comfort.
