About DSSSB

Prepare for DSSSB 2026: full TGT Computer Science & Section A syllabus, 9,000+ PYQs with solutions, mock test series and structured courses.

About the DSSSB exam

DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board) is the Delhi government body that recruits for posts in departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi — including Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) positions such as TGT Computer Science in Delhi government schools. Selection is primarily through an online Computer Based Test (CBT); shortlisted candidates then complete document verification (e-Dossier) and a medical examination, and the merit list is prepared on written-exam marks. Official notifications, vacancy lists and results are published at dsssb.delhi.gov.in.

How the TGT Computer Science paper is structured

The TGT CBT has two sections. Section A covers the general, non-technical ground: arithmetical and numerical ability, general intelligence and reasoning, English language and comprehension, Hindi language and comprehension, and general awareness. Section B tests the subject itself — for TGT Computer Science that spans computer fundamentals and architecture, operating systems, DBMS, computer networks and security, programming with data structures, OOP and Java, Python, web and internet technologies, digital electronics and Boolean logic, software engineering, algorithms, emerging trends, and teaching methodology. Because the two sections reward very different preparation, most serious aspirants treat them as separate blocks of study. For a subject-wise breakdown, see what to study in each block and the Section B syllabus in detail.

How KnowledgeGate covers it

KnowledgeGate's DSSSB preparation is built as two matching courses plus two test series. The DSSSB TGT Computer Science 2026 Section B course covers the full Paper 2 syllabus in 20 subject modules with 3,000+ lessons, 7,200+ practice questions and a bank of 3,500+ previous-year questions drawn from DSSSB and comparable CS teaching exams (KVS, NVS, HTET, REET, BPSC, HPSC and more), each mapped to the exact subtopic it tests. The DSSSB 2026 Section A course does the same for the non-technical section — 2,400+ lessons, 5,500+ practice questions and 5,400+ previous-year questions across all five Section A subjects. Both include the DSSSB previous-year papers as a dedicated module, so you can drill full papers as well as topic-wise PYQs — with solutions, not just PDFs. You can also browse DSSSB previous year papers year-wise (2026, 2025) and read the previous-year paper analysis. The Section B (CS) Test Series and Section A Test Series add full-length mocks for exam-condition practice, and the complete DSSSB bundle puts everything together.

Eligibility (TGT Computer Science)

Candidates with a BCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or IT, or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with an 'A' Level certificate from DOEACC are generally eligible; always confirm against the latest official notification, since post-code requirements vary. Full details are in the eligibility & exam pattern guide.

Dates and what to do while you wait

The exam date for each TGT Computer Science cycle is announced by DSSSB on the official website, dsssb.delhi.gov.in. Syllabus coverage and PYQ practice are date-independent — start with the 16-week preparation plan and the syllabus guides above, and join the free DSSSB community to keep up with peers preparing for the same cycle.
