Show answer & explanation

Correct answer: D

1. One third of each boxes weight is 12 kg

So, total weight of each box = (12 × 3) = 36 kg

So, total weight of 10 cartons of Mangoes = (36 × 10) = 360 kg

2. Total weight of 6 boxes is 72 kg more than the total weight of 4 boxes

Let weight of each box be ‘a’ kg

According to statement:

6a = 4a + 72

=> 2a = 72

=> a = 36 kg

So, total weight of 10 cartons of Mangoes = (36 × 10) = 360 kg

So, both the statements are individually enough to give the answer.

Hence, either of the statements 1 or 2 is sufficient.
