Correct answer: C

Solution: 3

Let the total number of employees in the organization = 100m

Then we have number of employees who are matriculates = 40% of 100m

I.e. (40/100) × 100m

= 40m

Remaining employees = 100m – 40m = 60m

Now 50% of these employees are graduates ie 50% of 60m

= (50/100) × 60

= 30m

Remaining employees = 60m – 30m = 30m

We are given that remaining 30 m employees = 180

⇒ 30m = 180

⇒ m = 180/30

⇒ m = 6

Hence number of employees who are graduates = 30m

= 30 × 6

= 180
