Correct answer: A

Key idea: Profit is divided in the ratio of (capital × time) invested.

  • A: 20,000 × 24 months = 480,000

  • B: 15,000 × 24 months = 360,000

  • C: 20,000 × 18 months = 360,000

So ratio A : B : C = 480000 : 360000 : 360000 = 4 : 3 : 3.

B's share = (3 / (4 + 3 + 3)) × 25,000 = (3/10) × 25,000 = Rs. 7,500.
