Request to Update the SSC JE IMD Computer Science Course

Dear Sanchit Sir,

I am one of the students who purchased your SSC JE IMD Computer Science course from Knowledge Gate with the expectation that it would be specifically useful for SSC JE IMD preparation.

However, after going through the course, I feel that most of the lectures and practice questions are focused more on GATE and ISRO-level preparation. The content goes into a lot of depth, while the SSC JE IMD exam mainly requires easy-to-moderate, conceptual and exam-oriented preparation.

Sir, our exam is approaching and time is very limited. Because of the advanced level of some lectures and questions, we are spending a lot of time on concepts that may not be necessary for the SSC JE IMD exam. I have already completed Operating Systems and Computer Networks, and currently I am studying Algorithms, but I am still not getting enough SSC JE IMD-specific content and practice.

Another major issue is that most of the practice questions and PYQs available in the course appear to be from GATE and ISRO, while we need questions that are specifically relevant to the SSC JE IMD pattern and difficulty level.

Therefore, I sincerely request you to please update the course according to the SSC JE IMD syllabus and exam pattern. It would be extremely helpful if you could add:

  • SSC JE IMD-specific lectures/topics

  • SSC JE IMD PYQs

  • Easy-to-moderate conceptual questions

  • SSC JE IMD-level numerical questions

  • Topic-wise practice sets

  • A separate SSC JE IMD exam-oriented question bank

  • Clear guidance on which advanced GATE/ISRO topics can be skipped for IMD

Sir, we purchased the course specifically for SSC JE IMD, so please consider updating the existing course and adding IMD-focused content and practice questions. This would save students a lot of time and help us prepare according to the actual examination requirements.

I hope you will consider this request and update the course for SSC JE IMD aspirants as soon as possible.

Thank you, Sir.

it's only recorded videos, and on top of that they're 7-8 months old, some are even 4-5 years old ....... put at least one live video - how to prepare, how much prep is needed, just keep one short for that ...

@sbzguide Dear Learner, We have already provided a sufficient number of SSC JE PYQs in the form of a Drive folder. You can practice these questions to understand the difficulty level, question pattern, and topic-wise weightage. We will also be adding these PYQs to the KGAI platform soon, so that you can practise them through the interactive UI. Since adding a large number of PYQs to the platform takes time, we did not want this to become a hindrance to your preparation. Therefore, we have already provided them in clean CS/IT and Non-CS/IT folders for easy access. The video lectures available in your course are primarily designed for concept building and developing a deeper understanding of the topics. So, for the time being, you may find questions from exams such as GATE and ISRO in the course. However, SSC JE-specific questions will also be added soon. Our team is already working on updating the course and is committed to providing you with the best possible learning experience. Thank you. 📂 Access all available PYQs here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/17WHWt551WbfxodeGSMZPTlMzmf2nQ5kB?usp=drive_link

Ma’am, I completely understand that the PYQs have already been provided, and I really appreciate that. My concern is mainly about the video lectures and the way the concepts are being taught. The lectures are often quite high-level, and for many students, even the basic understanding becomes difficult because the concepts are explained at a deeper GATE/ISRO level. Since we are preparing specifically for SSC JE IMD, we need a basic-to-moderate, exam-oriented approach where the concepts are first explained from the basics and then taken to the required level. At this stage, the exam is quite close and time is limited. Going too deep into high-level concepts that are beyond the SSC JE IMD requirement can take a lot of time without adding much value to our preparation. So, if possible, please clearly guide us about how the course is currently designed—which parts are relevant for SSC JE IMD, which advanced topics can be skipped, and what level we should follow. If the course is going to be updated, it would be really helpful if the updated content follows the SSC JE IMD syllabus and difficulty level. This guidance would help us use the existing course properly without wasting our limited preparation time. Thank you, Ma’am.

Bro, I understand your problem. Many students are starting from scratch and may not have enough knowledge of the technical and non-technical subjects covered in the course. For such students, I’m sorry to say that completing the entire course from scratch may not be possible because of the time constraint. I analyzed the course content for both technical and non-technical sections, and if someone wants to study everything from begening , it would roughly take 5–6 months because the course is very broad. However, we have hardly 35–40 days left for the CBT-1 exam. If you already have some previous knowledge, my suggestion would be not to skip any topic, but follow the course at a faster pace and try to complete it as soon as possible. I would suggest covering every topic mentioned in the syllabus, but don’t go too deep into each topic at this stage. Focus mainly on understanding the concepts and solving PYQs. That should be the priority. If you are a complete beginner, you will need to plan your preparation accordingly and focus more on the most important topics. For the rest of the preparation, I hope the mentors will guide us on what to prioritize and how to proceed.
