HELP, there are some extra things taught in EMRS batch as osi model , x series in switching and couple of more that aren't mentioned in syllabus so should I skip that or not ?????

And paper will come within their detailed syllabus??? Or they can ask something more related to mentioned topics in syllabus ( As in topology bus,star and tree is mentioned so can they ask mesh & star topology or notttt??? )
