Hello sir, My name is Karan Singh. I'm in 3rd year 5th semester. Mai kuch months pehle Gate 2027 ka batch aur course join Kiya tha lekin health problem ke wajah se maine abhi tak ek bhi class attend nahi kar paya hu starting me bas discrete maths ki kuch class bas attend Kiya tha like 1 chapter only. And Health problem ke wajah se Mera padhai ka pura routine kharab ho chuka hai. Mera college subah 10 am se 3pm up to 4:30pm tak rehta hai. So, please mujhe Suggest kijiye ki mujhe ab kya karna chahiye aur kaise time manage karu.

Karan, no problem at all 👍. Health always comes first, and the best part is that you are preparing for GATE 2027, so we have plenty of time. In fact, within a week or two we’ll be starting our Crash Course 🚀. That can be your new beginning. What I always say is—if you target even 40 marks in GATE 2026 through this crash course (3–4 months effort), then for GATE 2027 we can go in full swing with much more confidence. This way you’ll already have a solid base. Now, regarding time management: since your college runs from 10 AM o 4:30 PM, your best slots are either early morning (7–9 AM) or evening (8–11 PM). Even if you give 2–3 hours daily with focus, that is more than enough at this stage. Weekends you can use for catch-up + revision. And one more important thing—don’t think college hours are a complete waste. In reality, even during college time nobody studies continuously. Since all the videos are in your phone, use every small break or free period to revise or watch short parts of the lectures. This habit will multiply your preparation without disturbing your college routine 📱✨.

Hello Karan Singh, Thank you for sharing your situation. I completely understand how challenging it must be to deal with health issues while trying to keep up with your academic and preparation goals. It's great that you've already taken the first step by joining the GATE 2027 batch — that shows your commitment. Let’s work together to create a realistic and manageable plan that fits your current circumstances. 🌟 Key Points to Consider:Health is Priority: Your well-being comes first. Never compromise your health for studies. If you're not feeling well, rest and recover. College Schedule: You have college from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, which leaves you with the rest of the day (afternoon, evening, and night) for preparation. You’ve Already Started: You attended a few classes on Discrete Mathematics — that’s a good start! Don’t feel guilty about the gap. Just restart with a clear plan. --- ✅ Step-by-Step Plan for Time Management & Preparation#### 1. Assess Your Current Health Condition Are you on any treatment or medication? Is your doctor advising rest or specific routines? Try to identify the peak times of your energy during the day (e.g., early morning, evening, night). > 💡 Tip: Keep a simple journal for 3–4 days: note when you feel most alert, when you’re tired, and how your health fluctuates. --- #### 2. Create a Realistic Daily Routine (Post-College) Since college ends at 4:30 PM, here’s a sample schedule you can adapt: | Time | Activity | |------|---------| | 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM | Rest, light snack, freshen up | | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Study Session 1 – Focus on one subject (e.g., Discrete Maths) | | 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM | Dinner + Relaxation | | 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM | Study Session 2 – Another subject (e.g., Engineering Maths or Aptitude) | | 9:00 PM – 9:30 PM | Light walk, meditation, or breathing exercises | | 9:30 PM – 10:30 PM | Review or Revision – Go over what you studied today | | 10:30 PM | Sleep (aim for 7–8 hours) | > 🔁 Adjust based on your energy levels. If you're tired after college, start with 1 hour instead of 1.5. Consistency > intensity. --- #### 3. Start with What You’ve Already Started Revisit the Discrete Mathematics material you missed. Watch the recorded lectures (if available) or go through notes. Focus on one topic at a time (e.g., Logic, Sets, Relations, Graph Theory). Solve 5–10 basic problems daily to build confidence. > 📚 Resource Tip: Use standard books like Kenneth Rosen for Discrete Maths. --- #### 4. Prioritize Subjects Based on GATE Weightage Focus on high-weightage and scoring subjects first: Engineering Mathematics (15–20 marks) Discrete Mathematics (5–7 marks) Aptitude & Reasoning (10–15 marks) Core Subjects (e.g., CSE: DS, OS, DBMS, COA, etc.) > ✅ Start with Maths + Aptitude — they are easier to score and build confidence. --- #### 5. Use the "20-Minute Rule" for Motivation If you don’t feel like studying, commit to just 20 minutes. Often, once you start, you’ll continue for longer. Use a timer (e.g., Pomodoro: 25 min study + 5 min break). --- #### 6. Track Your Progress Keep a simple notebook or app (like Notion, Google Keep, or a diary). Write down: - What you studied - How many questions you solved - What you found difficult This helps you see progress and stay motivated. --- #### 7. Be Kind to Yourself It’s okay to miss a day or two due to health. Don’t compare yourself with others. Celebrate small wins: “I studied for 1 hour today” — that’s a win! --- 🧭 Final Advice:Don’t try to cover everything at once. Focus on quality over quantity. Consistency is key — even 1 hour daily is better than 8 hours once a week. Talk to your mentor or counselor if you’re feeling overwhelmed. You’re not alone. --- 📞 Suggested Next Steps:Re-watch the Discrete Maths lectures (even if just 1–2 videos). Start with 1 hour of study after college (even if it’s just 30 minutes). Set a small goal: “I will solve 5 problems from Discrete Maths this week.” Let me know if you want a weekly study plan or subject-wise roadmap. You’ve already taken the most important step — you’re trying. That’s enough to begin. Keep going, one step at a time. 💪 Warm regards, [Your Mentor/Support Team] > P.S. If you want, I can help you create a personalized 30-day study plan based on your health and schedule. Just say the word! — KG AI Mentor 🤖
