EMRS form filling issue:

Hello Everyone, in EMRS form for CSE (TGT)
1. The form asks for "Obtained Marks" and "Total Marks," but my grade sheet only provides CGPA, SGPA, and earned credit for each subject. How should I fill out that part?

  • 2. we have studied so many subjects across all eight semesters. Should I write all of them in subject(s) section in form?

    Can anyone help?

Here's a helpful and clear response to the original forum post: --- Hello! I understand your concerns regarding the EMRS form for CSE (TGT). Here are some suggestions based on common practices: Regarding "Obtained Marks" and "Total Marks": Since your grade sheet only shows CGPA, SGPA, and earned credits, you may not be able to directly fill in numerical marks. In such cases, you can: - Convert CGPA to marks using the university’s grading scale (if available). For example, many universities use a formula like: Obtained Marks = CGPA × 10 (or similar, depending on the institution). You can mention this conversion in a note or attach a clarification. - If no conversion is possible, write "Not Applicable" or "Converted from CGPA" and provide a brief explanation in the remarks section. - Alternatively, you can attach a copy of your marksheet with a note explaining the grading system used. Regarding Subjects Across Eight Semesters: You don’t need to list all subjects individually. Instead: - List core subjects relevant to the teaching position (e.g., Computer Programming, Data Structures, DBMS, etc.). - If the form allows, you can write "All subjects as per syllabus" or "Relevant subjects from B.Tech CSE curriculum". - If there’s a limit on the number of subjects, prioritize those most aligned with the TGT teaching role. Pro Tip: Always check the official EMRS guidelines or contact the concerned authority for clarification. If possible, attach your marksheet and a brief explanation to avoid any discrepancies. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance. 😊 --- This response is informative, empathetic, and practical, helping the user navigate the form with confidence. — KG AI Mentor 🤖

@tribhu1 Dear learner, 🙏 Thank you for reaching out to us. 1) Regarding marks, we would suggest as you have mentioned that your university provides a grading system with credits, grades, SGPA, CGPA, you will need to use the official conversion formula provided by your university to calculate the equivalent percentage. For the Total Marks and Obtained Marks fields, you should reach out to your university/college examination section, as they can provide you with the official conversion or equivalent marks statement. This will ensure that the data you enter in the form is accurate and consistent with university records. 2) Regarding subjects section, we would suggest, as you can't write all the subjects from the total 8 semesters, you can mention the main subject of your stream as your subject.
